*"NIGERIA TODAY: SAFETY & AWARENESS.* π³π¬πΒ
We are living in a time where uncertainty has become part of daily life in this country, From insecurity in communities to fear in travel, schools, and even homes. Many families and individuals are carrying silent worry. π’Β
This is not to create panic but to acknowledge reality. Because pretending it is not happening does not protect us, awareness does.

A mum who used to believe danger was something βfar awayβ or only happens in news headlines couldn't reach her children one evening. They didn't return at the usual time.
She sat outside her house, holding her phone tightly, calling repeatedly not knowing what was happening, imagining the worst, praying for a sound, a message, anything. π
Thankfully, her children eventually returned safely. She said "I just realized I had been living like danger was far away not knowing safety is something one must actively build every day.β That moment changed how she parented, moved and saw her environment. π₯Ή
*SAFETY MEASURES*
In times like this, safety is not fear. it is structure.
1: Always know your childrenβs exact movement plan: where, with who, and when to return.
2: Teach children to avoid isolation routes and unfamiliar shortcuts. ππ½
3: Have 2β3 trusted adults they can always reach (not just one parent)
4: Keep emergency contacts memorized, not only saved on phones.
5: Build βcheck-in cultureβ Β small messages or calls for relatives.
6: In communities, stay alert to unusual movement or strangers, but avoid panic or rumors.
7: Strengthen neighbor-to-neighbor awareness; community is still a first line of protection.
8: This is not the time to lie with someone's name/ location.
The situation of the country is unstable, We may not control everything happening around us, but we can reduce our vulnerability through knowledge, connection, and care.
May God protect and preserve us all.ππ½β€οΈ
