I GAVE HER A HOME AND LOST MY MARRIAGE.

I GAVE HER A HOME AND LOST MY MARRIAGE.

*“I GAVE HER A HOME & LOST MY MARRIAGE "*

There is a dangerous kind of kindness many women carry, the one that opens doors without asking questions, that sacrifices comfort just to be there for someone in need. We call it love, we call it family, we call it doing the right thing.

*ANONYMOUS* Amaka was married, peaceful and managing her home with pride. One night, her cousin called crying. “I have nowhere to stay please, just for a short time.”

Amaka didn’t hesitate. “What is mine is yours, she said...

_She made space, shared her food, her home, trusted her.

At first, everything was normal until little things started changing. Her husband became distant, Her cousin became too comfortable. 🤔

Amaka ignored the signs.

After all this is family.

Then one afternoon, the truth broke her. Her cousin was pregnant and not just pregnant but pregnant for her husband. 💔

The same man she built her life with, the same roof she opened in kindness became the place betrayal grew. And the worst part? Her husband didn’t deny it. Instead, he said, I will take responsibility! I may marry her too.” 🥺

*Lessons & Reflections*

This is not just one person's story, this is happening quietly in many homes.

_Goodwill without boundaries can open doors to disrespect, betrayal and deep pain.

_Don't take in people who overstays and disrespect boundaries.

_Don't lend money you can't afford to loose.

_No relationship or friendship should cost your peace.

*Many women are taught:*

1: Help your family no matter what

2: Endure, don’t ask questions 😩

3: Don’t be wicked

*But nobody teaches:*

i: Protect your home even if it means being called "wicked"

ii: Watch patterns, not just words. There'll be signs

iii: Set boundaries even with families.

Dear Queen,

You are not wicked for being careful, You are not selfish for setting limits.

_You are not a bad woman for protecting your home.

Your peace is your responsibility, Your life must not be destroyed in the name of “being good.”

Help people; yes! but don’t hand over your life doing so.

The world forgets sacrifices quickly but you will live with the consequences for a very long time. 🥹

Let your heart be kind but let your eyes be open so your goodwill don't destroy you. Sending hugs to anyone who got hurt offering help.🫂
